Daniel Garber. I love this painting. It reflects the vista I enjoy almost every day. The view from my block in Virginia Heights across the Arkansas River to the bluffs above the former quarry at Emerald Park. The contrasts of light and color are always most brilliant during the “golden hours,” when the sun is low, ascending or descending, dawn or dusk.
